Delete Your WatchFlow Account
Last updated: August 27, 2026
In Short
You can delete your WatchFlow account yourself, at any time, from Settings → Account → Data & Privacy → Request Deletion. Your account then enters a 30-day grace period during which you can still cancel; after that, your account, inventory, deals, contacts, listings and uploaded photos are permanently erased. Anonymised invoice records are kept where tax law requires it. If you cannot sign in, email support@mywatchflow.com and we will do it for you.
Delete from inside WatchFlow
Deleting your account is something you do yourself, from your own account — you do not need to contact us first.
- Sign in at mywatchflow.com, or in the WatchFlow app for iPhone or Android.
- Open Settings.
- Choose the Account tab.
- Scroll to Data & Privacy.
- Press Request Deletion.
- You may optionally tell us why, then type DELETE to confirm.
We immediately email you a confirmation that records the exact date your data will be erased, together with a one-click link to cancel if you change your mind.
Delete by email
If you can no longer sign in — a lost password, a closed mailbox, a device you no longer own — you can ask us to delete the account instead.
- Email support@mywatchflow.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.
- Tell us the email address the account uses, and the business name if you have one.
We verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before we act on it, then start the same 30-day process described below. We answer deletion requests within 30 days, and normally within a few business days.
The 30-day grace period
A deletion request does not erase anything straight away. Your account enters a 30-day grace period, which exists to protect you from losing a business's records to a mistaken click or someone else getting into your account.
- During the 30 days your account keeps working normally, and a banner reminds you that deletion is pending.
- You can cancel at any point in those 30 days — use the link in the confirmation email, or ask us at support@mywatchflow.com.
- When the 30 days end, any active subscription is cancelled and the erasure below runs automatically. From that point it cannot be undone.
What is permanently deleted
When the grace period ends, we permanently erase the following from WatchFlow's live systems:
- Your account itself — name, email address, password hash, profile and preferences.
- Your entire inventory, including every watch record, its cost and price history, and its expense lines.
- Your deals, trades, memos and consignments.
- Your contacts and everything attached to them, including notes and credit balances.
- Your listings, posts, destinations and connected-account authorisations.
- Every photo and document you uploaded — the files themselves are deleted from storage, not merely unlinked.
- Your activity and audit history, all saved sessions, and any pending team invitations.
- If you own a team workspace, the workspace itself and its team-scoped records.
What is retained, and why
Two categories survive the erasure, for reasons outside our control. Both are set out in full in our Privacy Policy.
- Invoice and payment records — retained in anonymised form where tax and accounting law requires it (generally seven years). They are detached from your identity.
- Encrypted backups — deleted data may persist in encrypted rolling backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account.
Our payment processor, Stripe, keeps its own record of transactions under its own retention rules and legal obligations. WatchFlow never stores your card number.
Export your data first
Deletion is permanent, and we cannot recover a deleted account for you. If your inventory, deals or invoices have any value to you or your accountant, take a copy first.
- Go to Settings → Account → Data & Privacy and press Export.
- You get a single JSON file containing your profile, inventory, listings, deals, contacts, invoices and settings.
The export downloads immediately, and there is no limit on how often you can take one while your account is open.
Team owners
If you own a team workspace that still has other active members, WatchFlow will refuse the deletion request and ask you to transfer ownership first.
This is deliberate. Deleting an owner's account removes the shared workspace and every record inside it, which would destroy your colleagues' work along with your own. Move ownership to another member in Settings → Team, or remove the remaining members, and the deletion request will then go through normally.
